A
	Abbey Road One of the more memorable Beatles album covers. Frequently used for head swaps or complete body replacements if the shop subject is walking in profile. Abbey Road has been called the most recognized crosswalk in the world. The street has been repainted since the photo was taken and it's current day appearance is somewhat different
	Abu Ghraib In April of 2004, the CBS news program 60 Minutes II broadcast photographs of U. S. Army Spc. Lynndie England mocking and mistreating prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison. The photos caused an immediate scandal which eventually resulted in some military court marshals. Two of the photos most commonly used as clichés are one of a hooded prisoner standing on a box and England with a cigarette in her mouth pointing at a prisoner's groin.
	Admiral Ackbar This fictional alien is a character from the Star Wars movies and novels. There's lots more about him on Wikipedia. Normal usage of him as a cliché includes using the phrase "It's a trap!" or something that rhymes with the word "trap."
	"All your base..." - See Zero Wing
	American Gothic This painting by Grant Wood is one of the most famous paintings of American art. Painted in 1930 and sold for $300, it seems to satirize the narrow-mindedness and conservative nature of rural America, although the artist denied the accusation. The cottage in the background was located in Eldon, Iowa and the people are the artist's sister and his dentist. As a cliché, the painting is frequently used for head pastes. 	Baby Seal Clubber This photo was published several years ago to publicize the inhumane way baby seals were being harvested for their fur. It has become a cliché with various subjects being substituted for the seal.
	Eric "Badlands" Booker - See Hamburger Eater
	Bat Boy This is the mascot of the Weekly World News, a former supermarket tabloid. WWN remains an online publication, but is no longer published in print form. Bat Boy's image appears occasionally as a FARK Photoshop cliché.
	The Beatles: See Abbey Road, Sgt. Peppers
	Beer Looter This photo of a looter carrying a crate of Heineken beer was published by the Associated Press during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. It's sometimes used when water or other liquids are involved. See also: Heineken Beer.
	I Want To Believe Poster I think this poster was on Fox Mulder's office wall in the X-Files TV show. It appears as a Photoshop cliché whenever a disc-shaped object is in the vicinity.
	Bicycle In The Moon This scene is from from the movie E.T.: The Extraterestrial. It most often appears in Photoshop contests whenever a bicycle or the moon are part of an original. Thanks to Procedural Texture for the suggestion.
	Black Baby Head This cute little kid has appeared in a number of Photoshop contests, I think it's the expression on his face that makes him a classic. It just screams "Whachu talkin' bout?" Kerouac555 made himself a pariah on Fark by insisting on `shopping Black Baby Head into EVERY entry he did. It was his abuse of the image that made it (in)famous. 	Britney Statue - See Monument to Pro-Life
	Bucket Seal This creature is a giant seal named Minazo, who routinely delighted audiences at a Japanese aquarium. His pictures have been spotted around the Internet, including Fark Photoshop contests. He is frequently misidentified as being a walrus. Sadly, Minazo died in 2007.
	Bullet Piercing Apple This famous high-speed photograph of a .30 bullet piercing an apple was taken by Harold Edgerton way back in the 1930's. It is employed as a cliché whenever some sort of sphere is a major element of a Photoshop contest. It's almost obligatory for somebody to offer it up.
	Bunny - See Pancake Bunny
	Burger King The silent, creepy plastic-headed hamburger king has made a few Photoshop appearances, enough to gain probationary cliché status anyway.
	Bush, George W. As the former leader of the world's strongest superpower, President Bush's image frequently appears in Fark Photoshop contests. This particular shot is one of the more frequently used ones. The President tried to make a quick exit from a news conference in Beijing only to find himself thwarted by locked doors. 	Camel Toe This extremely large member of the studio audience with a prominent "camel toe" appears occasionally, most often with something peeking it's head out of the area in question. If you don't know what a camel toe is, look it up on Wikipedia. Thanks to Procedural Texture for the suggestion.
	Ceiling Cat There was a user named Samguana on Wikipedia who claimed to be the creator of the classic photoshopped version that refers to masturbation. There's also a website devoted to the picture, ceilingcat.com, but it doesn't offer much information as to the origin of the photo. As a cliché, it's frequently seen peeking out of ceilings or just hanging in mid-air like some feline from an alternate dimension. The cat is sometimes replaced by other animals or people that enjoy watching folks masturbate.
	Hands Up Cat This cliché has been roaming the Internet for a while, frequently with a pistol pasted into the picture, making it look like it's being held up. It appears occasionally in Fark contests. This one was selected by visitors in the first Cliché City candidate poll as a classic cliché.
	Cats & Lipstick This one started with an advice thread where TotalFarker GoodCopBadCop was wanting to know if a cat's bunghole actually touches the surface of whatever it sits on to settle an argument with his wife. He mentioned that she suggested putting some lipstick on the cat's butt and hilarity ensued. The concept frequently appears whenever a cat is in or can be inserted into a photoshop contest.
	Cigar Guy This cigar-chomping golf enthusiast emerged as an Internet meme in 2010, after his image was captured alongside that of Tiger Woods during the Ryder Cup. The picture quickly spread to several news aggregate sites, including Fark, where it was used in this contest. His identity was confirmed to be Rupesh Shingadia, a 30 year old investment analyst from London. The mustache, wig and cigar were worn as a tribute to a Spanish golfer whom you have most likely never heard of. More information can be found here.

	Computer Of The Future This image has become one of the more famous Fark Photoshop entries. The brainchild of Lukket, the original can be viewed here. It has been presented in many places as a true photo. It occasionally returns to Fark to do guest appearances as a cliché.

	Dewey Beats Truman This photo of President Harry S. Truman holding up an election day edition of the Chicago Daily Tribune is often used to display silly newspaper headlines. The paper mistakenly announced Thomas Dewey the winner, but the election was actually a landslide victory for Truman. . Photo was taken by Byron Rollins in St. Louis, MO on November 4, 1948
	Disaster Girl This image of a girl named Zoe started appearing on various web forums and photo sharing sites in 2007, eventually finding its way to Fark. The Photoshoppers took a shine to her mischievous expression, and the meme of placing her near the scene of various accidents and atrocities became known as "Disaster Girl". You can read more about this picture's origin at the photographers's blog.
	Dog From Hell - See Sam The Dog
	Dolphin Girl I submitted this gal riding a brass dolphin for a contest in March 2006. I ran across the picture in this Photobucket gallery. Update: No info on the girl, but the photo was taken at 320 Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA. The "Blazing Saddles" poster in the background refers to a bicycle rental shop there. Thanks to siberian for doing the detective work on this one.
	Domo-Kun According to Wikipedia, Domo-kun is the mascot of Japan's NHK television station. The name derives from "Domo Konnichiwa" which roughly translates as "Hello indeed!" Domo-kun appears whenever some sort of threat is implied. It was featured most prominently in a Photoshop about God killing kittens when you masturbate. In 2008, Domo-kun was licensed to the discount retail chain Target for use in their Halloween promotions.

	Drunk Czech Girl This gal was an 'O' in this Fark Photoshop contest in September 2004, some of the Farkers referred to her as "Olga," but I don't think the name actually stuck. She is also sometimes referred to as a Russian. No further info available, e-mail me if you know anything more about this chick...not that I'm actually interested in her or anything.
	Dynamite Monkey No list of Fark clichés could be complete without Random McEric's classic Dynamite Monkey. It was the winner of this photoshop contest way back in 2003, probably one of the most imitated `shops of all time, and one of the highest voted. The original has disappeared, but was saved for posterity by numerous members of the Fark community. Dynamite monkeys are still occasionally referred to even now. 	Escher The Dutch graphic artist Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) is most recognized for spatial illusions, impossible buildings and repeating geometric patterns. His style suits the Fark sense of the absurd perfectly. The image here is only one of his many drawings. More Escher prints can be found on Etapet.

	Fat Asian Kid Chubby-faced Shanghai gas station intern Qian Zhijun, also known as "Little Fatty" or "Xiao Pang," was attending a traffic safety class and someone snapped his picture. That was in 2003. The picture somehow made it to the Internet and made him something of a celebrity after folks started Photoshopping him. Quian's visage appears occasionally on Fark as well as numerous other websites.
	Feiss, Ellen This spaced-out teenager appeared in the Apple "Switch" ad campaign in 2002 and has been generally adopted by Farkers as a cliché. Thanks to Flab and Greg Rebellion for the info.
	Flying Bicycle - See Bicycle In The Moon
	Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) The Flying Spaghetti Monster was created by Bobby Henderson to protest a decision by the Kansas State Board of Education to require the teaching of intelligent design as an alternative to biological evolution in 2005. It has since escaped to the Internet and makes occasional guest appearances on Fark.

	Gert Jonnys The Gert Jonnys were a Swedish dance band back in the 70's and 80's. The name comes from the band leader, Gert Jonny Hannson who left the band in 1982. According to Wikipedia, they still perform occasionally although the band members now all have day jobs. This old promotional photo of the band pops up now and then, usually with one or more head swaps. It was the 'O' for a Fark Photoshop contest in early 2006.
	Get A Brain! Morans! This photo was taken at a Boeing plant near St. Louis shortly after the second Gulf War began in March 2003. It has become a standard cliché in reference to people who haven't got a clue about what's going on.
	Gφatse This is a totally NSFW banned image on Fark. Contest entries that even remotely resemble it or refer to it in any way are immediately removed. I won't even link to it here. Take my word for it, it is disgusting. If you HAVE to know what it is, you can look it up on Wikipedia. Wiki explains what it is but doesn't actually show the picture...however there ARE links if you wish to pursue them...be sure to read the description before you click. Have the eye bleach handy and don't say I didn't warn you.
	God Creating Adam This fresco from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo is occasionally used for head swaps or when somebody is holding out their hand and pointing.

	The Ha Ha Guy An old advertisement for Forbes Insoluble Dry Plates. The original source for this drawing is unknown and there is some dispute over exactly what "Forbes Insoluble Dry Plates" really were. This is among the most frequently used clichés on Fark. Normally it involves erasing the text at the bottom and replacing it with some semi-funny or just plain stupid comment. It's also used for quick and dirty head swaps.
	HAL 9000 This all-seeing eye is the paranoid HAL 9000 computer from the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Thanks to Procedural Texture for the suggestion.
	Hamburger Eater Eric "Badlands" Booker is a competitive eater with several world titles under his belt. Here's his website for more information about him, www.badlandsbooker.com. I'm not sure exactly where or when this photo was taken, but apparently he enjoys his work.
	Hammer I first noticed the hammer when DarkJohnson pounded Robin with it. It has since appeared infrequently in other Photoshop contests. It may have a darker more sinister origin, but it's usually employed when senseless violence upon something rather innocent is required. The photo here isn't DJ's original, it's just the closest thing I've been able to find. If anyone has the 'O', I'd appreciate a copy for the archive.
	Hands Up Cat - See Cat, Hands Up
	Hanging Frog This photo of a tiny frog hanging from a bud was the 'O' for a Photoshop contest in early 2005. It occasionally makes a reappearance to hang from various objects.
	Heamer Heamer is a Farker who lives in California. This picture from his profile has become something of a cliché in the halls of Fark. Heamer is also Fark's unofficial king of MS Paint.
	Heineken Beer The brew of choice for spilling on the Fark servers. Often appears in connection to references to Drew Curtis. See also Beer Looter.
	Henry Earl Henry is a cliché from a few years back that isn't seen quite as frequently any more. He's been suggested by several people for inclusion here, so I've added him in. As I understand it, he's an alcoholic from the Lexington, KY area that if he isn't inside a bar he's behind them. You can learn more about him here.
	Paris Hilton Heiress, model, actress, singer, celebrity skank. Widely considered a classic example of the stereotype "dumb blonde," Paris' escapades fairly frequently land her in the news and consequently in Fark photoshops as well. Some notable news items include a sex tape and some upskrt shots caught by paparazi as she was getting out of a car. Warning:* Link includes NSFW photo. Thanks to inlettecluatmall for the suggestion.
	The Hindenburg The German airship Hindenburg exploded into flame over New Jersey in 1937, 36 people died in the accident. A radio reporter on the scene used the phrase "Oh, the humanity!" in describing the tragedy. Someone created a Photoshop manipulation of the classic photo with a manatee (sea cow) replacing the airship and the words "Oh, the huge manatee!" The image and/or phrase is now a cliché. A bit of trivia, the Hindenburg (and it's sister ship the Graf Zeppelin) still hold the record for the largest aircraft ever built.
	Hitler Car This photo of Adolph Hitler and Heinrich Himmler has been used for a lot of head swaps, usually involving politicians.
	Monty Python & The Holy Grail Several images from this film are used as clichés. The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, the Black Knight, God appearing in the clouds, the cow sailing over the rampart...the list goes on and on. Here's a site with more images from the movie.

	Kent State Victim I can remember when this happened, I was a sophomore at Ohio University at the time. The Vietnam War campus riots in 1970 closed down several college campuses including OU. This photo is of a student shot by Ohio National Guard troops on the campus of Kent State University. It has sadly become a Fark cliché.
	Kitten Running This cute kitten was featured with Domo-Kun (see above) in a photoshop as a warning against masturbation and is occasionally used to signify something innocent being in jeopardy. I'm not sure about who did the masturbation 'shop, e-mail me if you can provide the answer or a link.

	Melissa Theuriau This gal is a French newscaster and travel show host for LCI, the news channel for TF1. She's apparently considered a "hottie" by a number of Fark members and appears as a cliché whenever an news bulletin needs to be announced and Ric Romero is already busy.
	Memento Guy This is a publicity shot of Aussie actor Guy Pierce from the 2000 movie Memento. It's about a guy who suffers from chronic short-term memory loss and uses notes to himself and tattoos to hunt for the man he thinks killed his wife. 	Miss Georgia Contestant - See Who Farted? Girl

	Mosh Girl The "Mosh Girl" (or "Moshzilla") is known to frequently appear in Fark Photoshop contests. The girl's real name is Sam, and the picture was reportedly taken many years ago at a concert in San Diego. Moshzilla's parents threatened legal action against the proprietor of moshzilla.com in 2005, so it stands to reason that she does not enjoy her status as an Internet cliche. 	Motivational Posters You see them everywhere. Human Resource departments seem to think that pretty posters will motivate people to work harder, exhibit team spirit, and strive towards other high ideals. Fark motivational posters usually don't aim quite as high. Clicking on the image will take you to despair.com for some samples of their work. Fark contest entries normally use the 'O' with an appropriate (or inappropriate) comment unless it's a theme. Thanks to beerdiva for the link.
	Movie Posters There are way too many movie posters that are used as clichés to be able to host them all here. Karate Kid is one of the more popular ones due to the goofy pose of the guy standing on the post in the background. For a wide selection of movie posters from all the way back to 1920, I suggest trying the Internet Movie Poster Awards site.
	Nelson Muntz Getting pleasure from the misfortunes of others goes hand in hand with some of the basic concepts surrounding Fark, so it stands to reason that Nelson Muntz, the dysfunctional delinquent from "The Simpsons," would be a cliché. Ha! Ha! Thanks to madcharlie for the suggestion.
	Muslim Bomb Jyllens Posten Denmark, a Danish newspaper, solicited cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed and generated a storm of protests from Muslims when they printed the submissions. The furor over the insult merely generated more publicity for the cartoons, all of which ended up on the Internet. This one by Kurt Westergaard has become a minor cliché on Fark.
	Mustard Guy This photo is pretty well documented on Wikipedia. The fellow in the photo is Mike 'Nug' Nahrgang, a Canadian comedian and a Fark member. The photo was taken during a TV sketch about a food fight. Nug appears as a Photoshop cliché fairly often.

	Obama, Barrack Pictures of President Barrack Obama often find their way into Fark Photoshop contests, especially the iconic blue and red image created by pop artist Shepard Fairey during the 2008 campaign.
	Octomom Nadia Suleman (aka: the Octomom) is a mother of 14 living in California. Her delivery of octuplets drew national attention in 2009. This picture, taken during the late stages of that pregnancy, is an inevitable addition to any Octomom discussion thread on Fark.
	Office Space This is a scene from the 1999 movie "Office Space." I haven't seen the film, so I can't elaborate on the exact circumstances of this scene, but the link has the basic plotline along with a lot of spoilers. It appears infrequently, but often enough to be recognizable as a cliché.
	O RLY Owl The O RLY owl was a Snowy Owl named Jonathan that lived in the San Diego Zoo. The photo was taken by nature photographer John White. The surprised look on the owl's face is a bit humorous and has endeared it to a number of Photoshoppers. Jonathan died of pneumonia in 2006. Thanks to nightmaretony for the background info.

	Paint Huffer Guy Patrick Tribett's mugshot showed up on The Smoking Gun following his arrest in July 2005 for huffing spray paint. The Smoking Gun article showed up as a Fark greenlight and his mugshot migrated to the Photoshop arena. Following several subsequent arrests (and many more humorous mugshots) Mr Tribett sobered up and filed lawsuits against anyone profiting from the use of his image. The result of this legal action is pending.
	Pancake Bunny The original photo of Oolong the pancake bunny was taken by a Japanese photographer. The photo has not been manipulated. Here's a link to the original website where the photo first appeared. Oolong made it to the cover page of the New York Times Leisure section in January 2003 but did not live to enjoy his celebrity status. Pancake bunny went to that big carrot patch in the sky on Jan. 7, 2003. Undoubtedly he will live on in the halls of Fark. Thanks to GaidinBDJ for the background info.
	Brian Peppers This fellow is a registered sex offender from Lucas County, Ohio. His photo started circulating on the Internet and anybody that looks this weird has about a 99.9% chance of eventually winding up on Fark. Snopes.com has verified that this fellow really exists and the photo has not been manipulated.
	Kim Phuk On June 8, 1972, South Vietnamese planes dropped a napalm bomb on Trang Bang. This Associated Press photo of people fleeing the disaster won a Pulitzer Prize. The girl in the center of the photograph is Kim Phuk. She now lives in Toronto with her husband and two children. The photo has become a cliché and is used when horror of war rears it's ugly head.
	Peter Pan Here's another one that's been around for a while. Randy Constan of Tampa, Florida appears to fully embrace his role as Peter Pan on a daily basis, to the point of having an entire wardrobe of the same costume in a rainbow of colors. He also has a few seasonal adaptations along the same lines such as an Easter Pan and an amazing replica of the outfit worn by Gainsboro's Blue Boy. 	Raiders of The Lost Ark This shot of Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) getting ready to swap a bag of sand for a booby-trapped statue is normally used when a small statue or similarly shaped object is a part of the original. For anyone interested, here's what the front of the statue looks like.
	Reflection - See Escher or Tea Kettle Reflection
	Ric Romero Ric is an investigative reporter whose nose for news is legendary...sort of. He first hit Fark as a greenlit headline when he published a story about Internet blogging which Farkers lambasted without mercy. He now appears as a cliché usually when obvious or less than newsworthy information is presented in an urgent manner. Thanks to Yammering_Splat_Vector for the large image.
	Roach Guy This photo of a fellow staring at a Madagascar hissing cockroach was submitted as an 'O' for this contest. It's been used fairly regularly since, normally something else replaces the cockroach in his hand.
	Robin This cute little chick was the 'O' for a Photoshop contest in Feb 2006. It rapidly assumed cliché status when Farkers began to inflict deadly violence upon it. It was zapped, squashed, blown up, covered with condoms, and subjected to all sorts of torture. It's ghost still haunts Photoshop contests, appearing at random intervals for no apparent reason.
	Ross, Bob The late Bob Ross painted happy little trees on his television show "The Joy of Painting" for eleven years and lives on via video tape. Bob's image is sometimes used in tennis matches to recover otherwise hopeless train wrecks.
	Ruby-Oswald Assassination This classic photo of Lee Harvey Oswald being gunned down by Jack Ruby has been transformed into numerous celebrities thru the use of head swapping. This photo is the full image, many 'shops use a cropped version.
	Mt. Rushmore Fark Photoshoppers occasionally have the urge to replace our greatest Presidents with actors, rock stars, and other ne'er-do-wells.

	Sam The Dog What can I say about Sam? He was ugly? That goes without saying. He was a blind Chinese Crested hairless dog, and three time champion of the annual Sonoma-Marin Fair World's Ugliest Dog Contest in Northern California. Sam went on to that big kennel in the sky in November 2005.

	Sgt. Pepper's Album So many people, so many head swaps. Sometimes called into play when somebody in a funky uniform is the subject of a contest.
	William Shatner Years before he commanded the Starship Enterprise, Bill Shatner starred in a couple of Twilight Zone episodes. This classic still is from "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" where he plays Bob Wilson, a man who sees a creature destroying the engine of a plane while it is still in flight. Of course he's the only one that sees it and everyone else on the flight believes he's nutty as a fruitcake. Usual approach for this cliché is to replace the monster in the window with something from the 'O'. Thanks to Chaositect for the suggestion.
	Shining This scene of a demented Jack Nicholson breaking down a door with an axe is from the 1980 Stanley Kubrick horror movie "Shining" staring Jack and Shelley Duvall. 	Son of Man This 1964 surreal painting by Rene Magritte appears occasionally in photoshop contests, usually when the "O" contains a person wearing a bowler. A discussion of Magritte and the significance of this painting can be found on Wikipedia.
	Special Olympics Runner I think this photo was used by the Special Olympics a few years back in some of their ads. I could be wrong about that, but in any case somebody grabbed it and used it to make a comment about the stupidity of arguing on the internet (see the 'O'). It appears occasionally in Fark contests, often enough to qualify as a cliché anyway.
	Phil Spector This picture of Phil Spector in an enormous blonde afro wig was taken during his murder trial. Best known for his work as a record producer, Spector originated the famous "Wall of Sound" production technique. The photo often appears when the original contains tumbleweeds, shredded wheat, or similar fuzzy objects.
	Nutsack Squirrel This Cape Ground Squirrel is the nearest thing to an "official mascot" for FARK. The original FARK.COM site was just a link to this picture. Drew threw the image up as a place holder after registering Fark.com. After people complained because he used to e-mail links in mass e-mails, he started putting them on Fark. The rest is history. The photo was taken by Kevin Schafer in Etosha National Park, Namibia around 1993 and can be found as part of the stock photo offerings on the Corbis website. 	Starbucks Coffee The aggressive franchising of the Starbucks coffee chain has made it's twin-tailed siren logo a common sight in most urban areas. Whenever there is a vacant building or open lot in a photoshop 'O, a sign advertising a soon-to-open Starbucks is likely to appear. There is an interesting history of their siren logo (with pics) on Deadprogrammer's Cafe. Thanks for Broadcast Dave for the suggestion.
	Cup of STFU Poster This happy WWII G.I. is Thomas Murray who was selected by the U.S. Office of War Information to pose for a poster to encourage war rationing. The original text read "Do with less so they'll have enough!" Murray passed away in 2002 before the modified version of the poster gained popularity on the Internet. His family isn't happy with the new version, but the image is public domain so there's not much they've been able to do about it except complain.
	Allison Stokke This hottie is a pole vaulting sensation from Newport Beach, California. She has been the focus of much attention since this photo of her was posted on a sports blog in May of 2007. She has been popping up in Fark photoshop contests fairly frequently since. She is typically plopped onto the 'O' without much else being done, the submitter depending upon sex appeal to garner votes...which it usually does. Here is a link to a Washington Post article about her rise to fame.
	Donald Sutherland This image is from the 1978 remake of Invasion of The Body Snatchers, a cult classic about aliens that are gradually replacing the residents of San Francisco. Aliens identify humans that have not been replaced by pointing at them.

	Tea Kettle Reflection This photo of a tea kettle was featured in an eBay auction. If you look closely, you can see the photographer standing in the reflected image...completely naked. The reflection is often pasted onto shiny objects in Fark contests.
	Terri Schiavo A tragic story, Terri lingered for years on life support and became a pawn in a fight over her husband's right to withdraw that support so she could die. This photo of her appears occasionally in Photoshop contests, mainly for the shock value it carries or a philosophical or political statement of some sort. The most notorious abuser of her image has to be Minion_69.
	Tienamen Square Tank Face-off Student unrest in the People's Republic of China in 1989 sparked this face-off of a student standing in front of a line of tanks in Tienamen Square. This photo by Stuart Franklin Magnum appeared in Life magazine. It makes occasional appearances on Fark. Large photo here is the color version. BTW, the tank driver finally drove around the student.
	Toad - See Hanging Frog
	Toothless Guy I don't have any info whatsoever on this one. It's seen fairly frequently and definitely qualifies as a cliché. Drop me a line if you know anything about it.
	TotalFark UFIA Road Sign Veteran Farker the_rev was actually able to adopt a two mile section of road in Claiborne County, Tennessee as "Drew Curtis' TotalFark UFIA." He told the DOT that UFIA stood for "Uniting Friends In America." The sign stayed up until it was mentioned in a Fark thread...it came down the next day. This photo of the sign has since appeared in a few Photoshop contests. Here's a link to the Fark thread where it was announced. The UFIA abbreviation originated from a news story about a young man who poked his friends in the backdoor with his finger on a high school football bus trip. In the story, the judge is quoted as saying "an unsolicited finger in the anus, while crude, is not criminal".
	John Travolta This shot of Travolta on the disco dance floor is from the movie Saturday Night Fever. It appears rather often, usually when somebody in the original is pointing skyward.
	Tribett, Patrick - See Paint Huffer Guy
	Trogdor, The Burninator If you like Fark, there's a good chance you're a fan of Homestar Runner as well. Trogdor is one of the minor characters on this website and occasionally makes an appearance on Fark when dragons or fire is involved. Thanks to Procedural Texture for the suggestion.
	Tron Guy This fellow seems to have withstood the test of time, having been a infrequently recurring cliché since 2003 when he wore this costume to Penguicon, a Linux/SF convention. His real name is Jay Maynard and he's from Fairmont, MN. Jay has taken his cliché status pretty well, here's his website with a lot of photos of him in (and out) of the Tron costume and others. He also has a LiveJournal blog that he appears to update fairly regularly.
	Tubgirl Almost as famous as Gφatse, Tubgirl is another NSFW cliché that is banned on Fark. I won't link to the image...just believe me when I say it's totally disgusting. If you think you have to see it, do a Google search for "Tubgirl" and have another gallon of eye bleach ready....
	Twilight Zone - See Shatner, William
	Twin Girls These two spooky looking youngsters are a couple of ghosts from the movie Shining. They often appear in photoshop contests when a hallway is part of the 'O' See also Shining.
	Two Girls One Cup Even passing references to this NSFW gross-out vid are deleted by Fark's moderators. Some examples have been allowed to stand, but generally this cliché is persona non grata in Fark contests. Google it if you're really curious, but don't say you weren't warned.

	Vendetta Mask This mask from the movie V for Vendetta has appeared a number of times, enough to be recognized as a cliché anyway. I haven't seen the movie, but it's described as a sci-fi flick about a vigilante in future London.
	Video Games Screen captures from video games are frequently used in photoshop contests, too many to host them all. This one from the old Atari Pitfall game is used fairly often. Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Super Mario Brothers are just a few of the other popular ones. For screen shots of more recent games, try gameinfowire.com. 	Who Farted? Girl This gal's name is Alexa Yarberry, a contestant in the 2007 Miss Georgia beauty pageant. She didn't make the final cut, but did manage to snag Miss Congeniality. Alexa and her fellow contestants came to the attention of Fark through this thread. Fairly early in the thread Pelagius captioned her picture with "*Who farted, Y'all?*" and the rest is history. 	World Trade Center Runners This photo of people running from the collapsing World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001 was one of many that were taken on that tragic day. This particular one has appeared in quite a few contests as a metaphor for people running from something. The 'shops usually either insert a monstrously large image in the smokey area or add somebody running in the foreground.
	World Trade Center Tourist This photo of a guy standing on top of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001 with a plane in the background has been floating around the Internet for a while and, of course, has been adopted as a Photoshop cliché. BTW the picture is a hoax.

	Yellow Submarine This cartoon conveyance is from the 1968 animated film of the same name which featured The Beatles. It usually only surfaces when submarines are mentioned. Another image from that film occasionally seen are Blue Meanies. See also Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road.

Zero Wing (aka "All your base are belong to us")
The drawing and text is from the 1989 Japanese video game Zero Wing. In 1991 the English version for the Sega Genesis was rushed out too fast and resulted in some extremely poor translations of the game dialogue. The phrase "All your base are belong to us" stood out as particularly humorous and was rediscovered in 2001 when it became a popular Internet catch phrase. The original has been generalized to "All your X are belong to us", where X is filled in to connote a sinister takeover of some sort.
